DESIGN SOLUTION BRAINSTORMING

Through the brainstorming process, it became apparent what innovations needed to be made to conventional wheelchair designs. Rehabilitation, mobility, comfortability, and ease of use would be priorities, while attachments would be secondary.

CONCLUSION

The decision matrix culminated initial sketches and ideas. The teams final decision was to merge different ideas and devices into what will be an enhanced version of the standard wheelchair. Spring suspension would satisfy rehabilitation criteria. Swivel wheels would satisfy maneuverability criteria. An open frame design would satisfy urination and excretion expectations. Comfort and attachments would be designed and considered along the way.
