INTRODUCTION

Design specifications, constraints, and parameters were determined through the needs of the customers as well as the data from the survey. Many people found that conventional wheelchairs and other disabled dog devices impractical. We established our design specifications and restrictions around needs/feedback.

Consumers would like to see various attachments, customization, and increased comfortability to be implemented into dog wheelchair designs.

Several heartfelt stories about canine companions were shared. Some consumers spoke of their experiences with disabled dogs.

7% of over 100 people surveyed own or have owned a disabled dogs. While this number may seem small, the medical and rehabilitation demand of those with disabled dogs is non negotiable.

CONCLUSION

After consulting with experts and conducting thorough research on existing patents, products, and features, there is an understanding of what is expected of the new dog wheelchair. Organization of ideas into a decision matrix narrowed down the best designs to implement.
